The short version
Odak collects nothing. There is no account, no server and no analytics inside the app. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. Nobody, including the developer of Odak, can see what you record in it unless you send it to them yourself.
The rest of this page is the same thing said carefully.
What Odak collects
Nothing.
Odak has no sign-up, no login and no user account. It does not ask for your email address, a phone number or any other identifier. It does not contain analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking of any kind. It makes no network requests of its own.
What Odak keeps on your iPhone
Odak stores what you type into it, in a database on your iPhone:
- Your profile: your first and last name.
- Each medication: its name, the prescriber's name if you enter one, its start date, its color, its target dose, its dosing plan and schedule, its supply, and a reminder time if you set one.
- Each injection: the day, the dose, the injection sites, any site reaction, the lot number, a note, and the reason if you marked it as skipped.
When your iPhone has a passcode, iOS encrypts Odak's files, as it does for every app. Odak does not add encryption of its own.
That information is never uploaded, because there is nowhere for it to be uploaded to. Odak has no server.
If you have an iPhone backup turned on, your Odak data is included in that backup the same way every other app's data is, and it is covered by whatever policy applies to that backup. That is Apple's mechanism and not Odak's.
What other people can see on your screen
Odak's data never leaves your iPhone, but some of it is shown outside the app.
- A reminder notification shows the medication's name, the dose and the remaining supply. To hide notification text while your iPhone is locked, go to Settings, then Notifications, then Show Previews.
- Odak's widget shows the next injection's medication name, the dose and the remaining supply on your Home Screen. You can remove the widget at any time.
Anyone who can see your screen can read these.
Backups you make yourself
On the Export & Import screen, Odak writes two files. The backup holds everything listed above, including your profile and anything in Recently Deleted. The history is a spreadsheet of your injections. Neither file is encrypted, so anyone who opens one can read all of it.
Odak hands these files to the iOS share sheet and you decide where they go, whether that is iCloud Drive, another cloud service, a message to yourself, or nowhere at all. Once a file leaves Odak, wherever you put it is governed by that service's terms and not by this policy.
Odak does not send either file anywhere on its own. It writes them to its own temporary folder when the screen opens, and deletes them when you leave the screen. If Odak is closed while that screen is open, they are deleted the next time the screen opens.
Odak can also read a backup back in. It reads only the file you choose, on your iPhone.
Reminders
Reminders are local notifications, scheduled by your iPhone and delivered by your iPhone. No reminder passes through a server, and no push notification service is involved.
Odak asks for notification permission only when you set a reminder, when you tap Turn On Notifications, or when you restore a backup that contains a reminder.
Please note that iOS does not guarantee that a notification is delivered, so a reminder in Odak is a convenience and not a safety net.
Health data
Odak does not read from or write to Apple Health, and it does not request access to it.
Third parties
There are none. Odak contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics libraries, no advertising networks and no social login. Nothing you enter is shared with anyone, because it never leaves your device. Nothing is sold.
What Apple shares with developers
If you have turned on Share With App Developers in your iPhone's settings, under Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements, Apple may send app developers crash reports and usage statistics. Apple describes this information as not identifying you personally, and it does not contain what you entered in Odak. That is Apple's mechanism and not Odak's, and you can turn it off in the same place.
Emailing support
This is the one way the developer of Odak receives anything from you, and it only happens if you write.
If you email [email protected], the developer receives your email address, your name as your email shows it, and whatever you write or attach. Cloudflare's email routing forwards the message to the developer's mailbox. It is used only to answer you. It is never shared, sold or used for marketing.
Please do not attach your backup file, and leave out health details the question does not need. Odak cannot answer questions about your treatment.
How long anything is kept
What is on your iPhone stays there until you delete it. An email you send to support stays in the developer's mailbox, so that a later message about the same problem has its history, until you ask for it to be deleted. The website's visit totals, described below, can be viewed by the developer for six months.
This website
The app collects nothing. This website is a separate thing, and this section says what it does.
odak.care is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. There are no accounts, no forms, no comments and no newsletter sign-up. It sets no cookies. Nothing you do here is connected to anything you do in the app, and there is no way for it to be.
Like every web server, Cloudflare processes ordinary request information such as your IP address in order to deliver the page and to protect the service. That is described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.
To know how many people visit, this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. When a page loads, a small script from Cloudflare measures how long the page took to load and reports that, together with the address of the page and of the site that linked to it, if there was one. Anything after a question mark in a web address is not recorded. From these reports, Cloudflare shows the developer totals: the number of visits, which pages were visited, which sites linked here, which countries visits came from, and what kinds of device, browser and operating system were used. The script stores nothing on your device, and Cloudflare states that it does not use your IP address or anything else to recognise you. The developer sees only the totals and cannot tell who you are. If your browser blocks the script, the site works the same.
This site does not follow you over time or across other websites, so it treats every visit the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. No other company tracks your activity across websites through this site.
If you follow a link from this site to the App Store, Apple's privacy policy applies from that point on.
Children
Odak is not directed at children and is not designed for use by them. If a child under 13 emails support, the message is deleted once that is known.
Your control over your information
Because your information is only on your device, you control all of it directly.
- Deleting a medication or an injection moves it to Recently Deleted, where it can still be restored. Deleting it there removes it, and so does Delete All Data.
- Turning off Odak's notifications in Settings withdraws the one permission Odak asks for.
- Deleting the app removes everything Odak stored.
There is no account to close. The only thing that can be held anywhere else is an email you sent to support. To ask whether the developer holds one, or to have it deleted, write to [email protected]. You will get an answer within 45 days.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Because Odak collects nothing, any change that mattered would be a change to the app itself, and that would arrive in an App Store update you can read before installing.

One more thing, which is not about privacy
Odak records injections that were already prescribed. It decides no dose, no schedule and no injection site, and a question about the treatment goes to the prescriber who wrote it.
